Our Commitment to Safe and Responsible Coaching

At San Diego Handball Academy (SDHA), we believe that teaching team handball to kids and adults comes with important responsibilities. Our coaches are committed to the highest standards of ethics, attitude, behavior, and character.

Safety and abuse prevention are priorities we take very seriously. Every SDHA coach:

• Completes Coach-Mentor online training before volunteering in schools.

• Maintains an active USA Team Handball membership by renewing their SafeSport training annually.

• Obtains official IHF (International Handball Federation) coach certifications to bring world-class standards to our community during after-school programs.

We are dedicated to excellence, safety, and best practices, ensuring every player can learn and grow in a positive environment.
