First SDHA participation to the Men's National Team Try-Out

On September 28th, 2025, our players are joining the Men's National Team (MNT) Try-Out hosted by USATH National Team coaches (including Mark Ortega, the head coach of the MNT) in Los Angeles, CA.

This is an amazing opportunity for our players to learn from the best players in the area, and to showcase their skills for potential National Team selection. Even new players are welcome! The only requirement is to be more than 16 years old. All players interested in joining this event need to (1) have a valid USATH player or coach membership on sport80, (2) select the San Diego Handball Academy (SDHA) as their club on sport80, (3) pay us the $45 registration fees via Venmo or Zelle.

The USA Men’s National Team coaching staff is searching for new talent to train and develop for future National Team consideration. These Recognition Camps are open to all athletes in the United States — whether you have prior handball experience or are completely new to the sport. Each tryout will be broken into morning and afternoon court times. Athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the National Team coaching staff at multiple locations across the country. - Morning: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Afternoon: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
